C54
The Reflecting Pool (Lilypad 2007) gets re-imagined as an extended, ambient waft recorded live at Kouderay on New Year's Eve and released by Lilypad Records on January 1, 2020. After battling with the dreaded Tube copyright-algorithm, this was restored Spring '20 just in time for the Covid lock-down.
CATH CARROLL
Desiree Won't Come Down (Lilypad 2009) is an acoustic ballad recorded at Lilypad and sung by Cath Carroll and produced by Kerry Kelekovich. It was followed by Moon Over Archway in 2010.
JETSTREAM PONY
England’s purveyors of "schrammel-pop" returned to our ranch (remotely before that was a thing) during Autumn 2019 when we mixed Jetstream Pony (Shelflife/KUS/Spinout Nuggets) - their excellent, 2020 full-length debut. Self-Destruct Reality was our introduction and it was their first song edited and mixed here.
THE WILDROOTS
Recorded at the Rivera Theater in Chicago by legendary, mobile icon, Timothy Powell. This 93'XRT FM Christmas For The Kids benefit concert was hosted by Radio Hall of Fame DJ Terri Hemmert!
WORLDWIDERIOT
Morris, Illinois natives -- Sean Blythe and Eric Enger -- made their debut, Poster Boys For The Apocalypse (Lilypad 2008) while the collapse of the U.S. economy was just getting underway.
GARRET JOHNSON
Another Morris, Illinois native and life-long friend of all of the other Morris denizens. Garret was introduced to us by Sean in WorldWideRiot in 2017 and last made an appearance in our audio kitchen at the end of 2019 when he recorded this song.
"I remember when we used to take pictures.
On a 35mm Canon Rebel, not a cellphone.
Things were so much clearer. I never looked in the mirror."
THE WILDROOTS
Headlining debut of the original lineup captured in this lo-fi video, May 1987, at the legendary Orphans Pub in Chicago. And the Guinness was delicious!
